The ‘About Me’ is always hard to write. I mean, do you really want to know about me or just the store?

Awe heck, here’s a bit about both!

Me:

I started a dog walking/pet sitting company in 2006 during a time when people thought dog walking was just a thing for people in NYC. Dogs really did become my life with my own dogs and clients dog’s invading my home and lifestyle. I learned a great deal about the dog as the individual and the dog as a pack.

As my own dogs grew older I continued to expand my knowledge about how to keep a dog healthy through diet, enrichment, and products.

Owning this store I get to see products and their advancements to helping our pets stay happy and healthy throughout all the stages of their lives. And I’m lucky to get to share this information with all of you!

The Store:

Like many, I had never heard of a thrift store for pet supplies. One day I was driving behind a thrift store truck that advertises how their proceeds go towards an animal rescue. I thought, “How wonderful, but wouldn’t it be cooler if it was all pet items?”

Once I had that thought I knew I had to make it a reality.

A donation based thrift store was created. A place where people could bring pets in to try things on. Where you might stumble upon the thing you were just looking at online, but now can hold in your hand…and cheaper too! And the part of the store I love the most -items that were once used or loved by a cherished pet that instead of having to be thrown away, can be used by another.
